CZECH AND DANISH MAILS
The resumption of postal communication with Czechoslovakia was announced yesterday by the Acting Postmaster-General (Mr. Jones), in the meantime the service is limited to unregistered letters and commercial papers, of a maximum weight of 2oz, and postcards. Business and financial letters must be confined to communications ascertaining facts and exchanging information preparatory to the resumption of trade as soon as conditions permit. The mail connection between the United Kingdom and Czechoslovakia is at present by air only, and therefore all correspondence for Czechoslovakia must bear 2d a half-ounce, additional to the normal surface or air mail postage, in order to cover the cost of air transit between the United Kingdom and Czechoslovakia. The Minister also announced that the maximum weight for letters and letter-packets addressed to Denmark had been raised from loz to 41b. .
