MARINE INSURANCE RATES.

Further reductions have been made in scthedule war rates covering interests to/or from New Zealand. The following rates are now current:—

New Zealand to/or from United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (via any route), % per -cent. ; France, excluding Mediterranean, V 2 per cent.; Europe north of Trance but not east of Malmo, Va per cent.; east of Malmo, % per cent.; Africa, Aden, Red Sea, Egypt, Turkey, Persian Gulf, India and Ceylon, Madagascar, Keunion, and Mauritius (direct), Gfeece, y» per cent.; Pacific Islands, excluding New Guinea, }A per cent. ; North and Central America Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf ports (a) via Panama or Pacific (excluding Pacitic ports via Pacific)' Vi per cent, (b) Pacific ports via Pacific 3-8 per cent., (c) via any other route, % per cent. ; South America (Atlantic and Pacific ports) via Cape, ■% per cent.; South America (Pacitic coast via Pacific), 3-8 per cent.; West Indies via any route, y 2 per cent.; Chatham Islands, */i per cent.; New Zealand coastal, 1-8 per cent.; Fiji to/or from India, not east of ChittaKong and Ceylon, direct or via Australia 5-S per cent.; Pacific Islands to/or from United Kingdom, 5-8 per cent.
