COLLECTIVE SECURITY
LABOUR'S AIMS STATED
LONDON. June 23,
The Labour Party stands for collective security abroad to remove fear of war, and collective security at home to remove fear of want, says the leader of the Labour Party, Mr: Attlee, in an appeal to the people. Dealing with Mr. Churchill's "fantastic accusations," Mr. Attlee says that no one who took the trouble to think would believe that the Labour Party would endanger the small savings of millions of supporters or deprive trade unionists of ( their rights. "I again state the fundamental question: 'Is the country, in peace as in war, to be governed on'the principle that the public welfare must come before private interest, or can we leave the good of the.nation to emerge as a mere byproduct of the activities of individuals seeking private interests?'"
