ANOTHER ENEMY REPORT
NEW YORK, June 10
Tokio radio reports that Allied troops landed yesterday on Labuan Island, in north-west Borneo. Japanese dispatches stated that the enemy had recently massed warcraft near Brunei. An Allied convoy, including battleships, cruisers, destroyers, and about 50 smaller warships, on Thursday started bombarding positions on Labuan Island. One division landed yesterday afternoon.
