Sir.Harry Batterbee, retiring High Commissioner in New Zealand for the United Kingdom, will be entertained bv'the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr. E. H. Andrews), the Mayoress (Miss (Couzins), and the City Council tomorrow morning, during his farewell visit to Christchurch; He will be entertained at dinner also by the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce and the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association. The Rev. G. R. Stirling, Youth Director of Churches of Christ in New Zealand, who has accepted a similar post in South Australia, was met at a farewell gathering in the Wellington South Church of Christ recently, and many tributes to the quality of his work were paid. A presentation was made on behalf of the New Zealand Churches of Christ.
