HANDED TO NEXT-OF-KIN
P.A. AUCKLAND, June 1. Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Newall received privately this afternoon the immediate relatives of a number of deceased service personnel resident in the Auckland district, when his Excellency* handed to the next-of-kin the decorations mentioned below:—
C.B.E. and Bar to Distinguished Service Order.—Mrs. R. G. Miles, wife of the late Brigadier R. Miles, D.5.0., M.C., R.N.Z.A.
Military Cross. —Mrs. E. M. Macdonald, Tauranga, mother*of the late Captain R. G. Stevens.
Bar to Distinguished Flying Cross.— Miss V. Grant, Ponsonby, sister of the late Wing Commander R. J. C. Grant. D.F.C., D.F.M.
Distinguished Flying Cross.—Mrs. R. Roden, Tauranga, wife of the late Squadron Leader G. A. Rbden; Mr. and Mrs. W. Sullivan, Whakatane, parents of the late Flight Lieutenant M. A. Sullivan.
Distinguished Conduct Medal. — Miss Doreen Hobbs, Newmarket, daughter of the late Sergeant E. W. Hobbs.
Military Medal. —Mrs. R. August, wife of the late Warrant Officer (class II) J. August. Distinguished Flying Medal. —Mrs. E. A. Goodhew, Auckland, grandmother of the late Pilot Officer E. C. Laurie; Mr. F. E. Fuggle, Papatoetoe. father of the late Pilot Officer R. Fuggle.
