BRITISH OCCUPATION ZONE
LONDON, June 1
The British zone of occupation in Germany comprises the four northwestern provinces of Schleswig-Hol-stein, Hanover, Westphalia, and the Rhine. The occupying force consists of four army corps under Field-Marshal Montgomery, with Canadians forming part of the Hanover Corps under the British command, says Reuters correspondent at the Canadian Ist Army headquarters.
