MUTE EVIDENCE
ANSWER TO A COMPLAINT
LONDON, May 31
A deputation of 70 German officers complained to the commander of the prisoner of war camp at Ludwigshaven about sleeping in tents, digging their own latrines, and doing kitchen work, says Reuters correspondent at SHAEF. The commander listened impassively until they had finished and then turned over some photographs on his desk and invited the Germans to take a look. After one look they filed out without a word. The pictures showed internees at Buchenwald and Dachau.
