Ngaio Plunket Ball. The Ngaio Plunket Ball is to be held in the local town hall on June 8, and residents are requested to keep this date free in order that they may attend this function. The women's War Loan committee extends an invitation to all women who are assisting in any way with war work to attend a film evening .at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall next Wednesday, May 30, at 8 p.m. W.C.T.U. Central Branch. There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting. As it was YE Day several members gave a reading on that subject. In the absence of Mrs. Davidson. Mrs. Andrew conducted the. sales table, which is held quarterly. Reports on hospital visiting were -received. Mrs. Hoult and helpers served tea.
