AIR FORCE APPOINTMENTS

LONDON, May 23. Air Chief Marshal Sir Sholto Douglas has been appointed air officer com-manding-in-chief of the British Air Forces in Germany. Air Vice Marshal Sir Leonard Slatter succeeds ' Sir Sholto Douglas as air officer command-ing-in-chief Coastal Command, and assumes the acting rank of air marshal.
