Air Force announces that a large force of SuperFortresses from the Marianas attacked industrial targets in Tokio with demolition bombs today. ? Tokio radio says that 80 Super-Fortresses raided the Ivanto area, including- Tokio, and others the ITamamat.su area south-Avest of Kanto. Thirty others laid mines in Wakasa Bay on the north coast of Honshiu. The 20th Air Force announced-that the very large force of the Honshiu mission was mainly directed against the Tokio factory areas, but because of bad weather the force mostly attacked Hamamatsu. There was little fighter opposition, flak was moderate, and no planes were lost.
