MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Wellington Waterside Workers' ' Junior Band will play at the patriotic May Day celebrations at the Grand 1 Opera House on Sunday night. This concert is being sponsored by the Wel- '-'. "lington Trades and Labour Council, and the proceeds will go to provide comforts for New Zealand liberated prisoners of war. Tickets are available at union offices and the D.I.C. The band consists of over . thirty ' talented players, whose average age is 12 years. The guest artist is Mr. ■Tom Wood, the popular Wellington "baritone. Messages for the occasion -f rwill be read by representatives of the Z v^Allied Nations.
