REDUCED RATIONS FOR SOME TROOPS

Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, May 2. Rations for United States troops in the European theatre engaged in light duties are being reduced by 10 per cent, because of the worldwide food shortage, states the Chief Quartermaster. Men attached ,to headquarters and included in the reduction. -- The reduced ration, 3650 calories, is considered to be sufficient for troops performing sedentary tasks.
