AFTER FIVE YEARS
lights On In Britain Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, April 23. The black-out ended in Britain tonight except for a five-mile belt around the coast. The evening papers today carried a notice saying: "The light- , ing-up time for vehicles is 9.39 p.m." This advice was last printed on the day Germany invaded Poland, September 1, 1939.
