j-**- LONDON, March 14. "^General: de Qaulle spoke in a Paris Ijt^dcast tonight- about the Japanese attack on French Indo-China. French ■feaSps, he said, were fighting back, Sijd"': scattered battles were taking place in various parts of the country. t3£ster condemning the policy of Vichy, which had allowed the Japan-ese-to enter Indo-China, General de Grille said the flame of resistance had been spreading all the time in the French army, the Administration, and in^the population in general. The Fierich National Committee, now the GSfernment of France, had encouraged the*- growth of that resistance movement in Indo-China.
he said, "the battle is joined between the invader and our forces in Indo-China according to a plan drawn up by the French Government and under the order of the leaders designated by it." He spoke of the ill equipment of the French forces and said that France was doing all she could to persuade the Allies to provide arms for them.
