HURRICANE HITS AIR BASE. New York. —A hurricane struck a Super-Fortress base in southeast Asia iorlay, killing eight men and injuring 150. and damaging 25 transport aircraft on the field, reports an Associated Press correspondent. No Super-Fortresses we're damaged. The storm blew, up suddenly. Most of the casualties occurred when walls and •roofs collapsed.—U.P.A. BENZOL PLANTS iEAIDED. London. —The Air Ministry announced that Lancasiers of the R.A.F. Bomber Command, escorted by Spitfires and Mustangs, attacked benzol plants near Bochum and Reckling'shaiisen, in the Essen area. —U.P.A.
