NECESSARY ACTION
O.C. ' WANGANUI, March 14 "By their prompt action the Minister of Railways (Mr. Semple) and the Minister of Agriculture (Mr. Roberts) have averted a crisis so far as next season's breeding ewes are concerned" said the chairman of the Wanganui Council of Primary Production (Mr W. S. Glenn) at a meeting today referring to steps taken during the recent railway restrictions for the transport of stock throughout New Zealand
HM- ewe ™not been transported at that time, Mr. Glenn said, New Zealand would have faced a very serious fall in production.
