Honoiti Meta, labourer, 20. pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court today to a charge of being unlawfully on enclosed premises in Arthur Street last night, but after the hearing of evidence, he was convicted by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., and sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment with hard labour. He pleaded guilty to a further charge of theft of two necklaces valued at 17s, the property of some person unknown, and was admitted to probation for 12 months.
