GENERAL LEESE HONOURED.

Rec. 11 a.m. RUGBY, February 25. Lieutenant-General Sir Oliver Leese, Commander of the Allied Land Forces in South-east Asia, has been presented with the Legion of Merit, Degree of Commander, by Lieutenant-General Dan I. Sultan, Commanding General of the United States Forces in the India-Burma theatre, for outstanding services to the Allied nations in Italy, writes a South-east Asia headquarters correspondent.

The ceremony took place at advanced headquarters of the Allied Land Forces in South-east. Asia before officers and men of the United States and British forces.—B.O.W.
