STRUCK BY TRAIN

Mrs. Aldrich,. of Omar Street, Khandallah, was struck by the 10 o'clock Wellmgton-Johnsonville electric unit at a point about 400 yards north of the Khandallah, station this morning. She suffered concussion, shock, and a lacerated forehead, and was removed to the Wellington Hospital by the Free Ambulance.

From preliminary reports in the hands of railway officials it appears that Mrs. Aldrich entered the line by the footway north of the station and was walking to the station with the train- approaching her. ,The service was delayed 19 minutes by the accident;;
