EXCHANGE OF PRISONERS

Rec. 10.50 a.m. BERNE, Jan. 16. Switzerland is making possible the biggest exchange of prisoners of the war. The total includes 1357 Germans, 2500 wounded British, Americans, and South Americans, and also German civilians from the United States and Mexico, and Americans from Germany. The first trainloads from Germany and France are due at Kreuzlingen on January 17.

The British and American Legations have instructed Allied correspondents not to attend, for security reasons.
