ALLEGED USE OF INSTRUMENT
P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. George William Bettle, chemist, 55. appeared m the Magistrate's Court today, charged that on December 12 at Christchurch he unlawfully used an instrument or other means with intent to procure a miscarriage. The Magistrate Mr. Ferner, granted a remand until January 18. and Bettle was al--I(2w^bail' self £500 and two sureties of £250 each. . .
There may be a more serious charge against this accused as the girl in the case is dead," said Senior Detective Nuttall. - .
