BUENOS AIRES, January 10. Following the rejection of Argentina's request for a meeting to reconsider her position and diplomatic status, the Argentine Government has announced that it is not participating in future meetings of the Pan-Ameri-can Union.
Following "the death of a Maori who ■was living at the same address as Robert George Wilson, labourer, 45, Wilson took the Maori's bicycle and tried to sell it, stated Detective-Sergeant E. Compton in the Magistrate's Court today, when Wilson pleaded guilty to a charge of theft. Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M., sentenced him to two months' imprisonment. ' . •Lieutenant Francis Barry ("Bill") Eyan, of Lower Hutt, passed out of Sandhurst recently as the most outstanding cadet in his class, which included several other members of the N.Z.E.F. selected for training from Italy. Lieutenant Ryan, who is an old boy of St..Patrick's College, Wellington, left New Zealand with the First Echelon, and has served with the Division in all the campaigns up to Italy.
