CHILD DROWNED

Paul Douglas McLeod-Jones, aged 2, whose parents reside at 16 Myrtle Street, Lower Hutt, was drowned yesterday in the stream which runs tniough the Hutt Recreation Ground. The child was missed from his home, which is adjacent to the recreation ground, early in the afternoon, but owing to the flooded nature of the stream causing discoloration, the body was not recovered until 6 p.m. This is the second child of the family to be lost through drowning.
