MNE CLUBS TO OPERATE
Eignt galloping and one trotting fixtures make nine race gatherings in the Dominion on New Year's Day, -five in the North Island and four in th« Souiii. After giving way. to the trotting branch, the Auckland Racing Club re-enters the field, and will race again on Tuesday. The Stratford' Club will also race on }Vlonday and Tuesday. Hawke's Bay, Waikouaiti, and Wyndham will stage one-day meetings, and the Wairarapa, Marton, and Greymouth Racing Clubs, which were all active today, will conclude their gatherings. The only trotting, club in- the field is the Canterbury Park Club, which will conclude its two-day meeting at Addington on Monday.
