GRASS FIRES STARTED
Rec. 11.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 28. The only damage done by the Japanese warship foray against Mindoro appears to be two grass fires, says the Associated Press correspondent on Mindoro. Not a single shell marred the airfield.
During the running P.T. boat engagement some American craft inadvertently were attacked by their own aircraft.
