A BUS TERMINUS

Sir, —May I make a suggestion that I think would improve the running of the bus services. A central bus terminus could very easily be established on the north side of the bid wooden Government Buildings. This could be done without much expense and even the few pine trees could possibly be spared. Each bus would have its own alley with passenger paveways between and queue rails for boarding buses. There would be enough room to organise departure and arrival platforms or paveways for most existing bus services. I am sure that this idea could very well be put into j action immediately while awaiting more ornate plans from our town planners. Some day the old Government printing building will be removed opposite this proposed bus terminus, but until such times this idea is good. The bus-travelling public would welcome a little attention such as a centralised terminus 'with queue rails, paveways, and shelter.—l am, etc., R.F.C.P.

ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. 'Justice of the Peace."—The suggestion, while well intended, might be interpreted as a slur.
