RACKETEERS RELEASED
Rec. 9 a.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 24. Federal Judge Knox ordered the release of William Bioff and George Brown, the theatrical union executives, who were convicted in November, 1941, of extorting more than 1,000,000 dollars from'the film industry. The release was ordered because of their- good^ behaviour and because both aided the Government with testimony in the trial of six men alleged to be participating in J racketeering. The Judge said there-might not have been any Qo^yictiong,; without their testimony. - * "
