LABOUR FEDERATION ON CONSCRIPTION
NEW YORK, November 30. The convention of the American Federation of Labour at New. Orleans opposed any hasty or. ill-considered plan for universal'military conscription of youth after the war. The convention suggested that President Roosevelt appoint a representative national committee of all parties and sections to carry out a thorough study and make recommendations.
The convention re-elected Mr. William Green as president.
