JOURNEY'S END

WEDDING IN WELLINGTON

A wedding of interest was celebrated on Sunday November 26, when Cecil Meyer Lust of H.M.N.Z.S. Gambia, and elder son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lust, of Endeavour Avenue, Lyall Bay Wellington, was married to Miss 'Esther Goldberg, of Grodno, Poland. Mr. Lust met his bride recently in Melbourne, Australia, where she had been residing for the past three years. The bride only arrived in Wellington the day before the wedding. The- ceremony took place at the Wellington Synagogue and was solemnised by the Rev. S. Kantor.

The bride wore a beautifully cut gown of silver arid white brocade, matched with a veil of white tulle and a headdress of white roses, and she carried a sheaf of white roses. The bridesmaid,. Miss Naomi Brooks was wearing white brocaded satin, and the matron of honour, Mrs. P. Ketko, a sister of the bridegroom, wore a smart gown of turquoise and black. Both carried red roses. Mr. and Mrs. J. Fame stood in loco parentis to the bride, and Mr. Leo Lust was best man. The reception was held at the Roseland Cabaret, where the bridegroom's parents received a large number of relatives and friends.

The newly-married couple left \for Auckland, where they will remain until Mr. Lust rejoins his ship, after which Mrs. Lust will take up residence with Mr. Lust's parents.
