The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. Claude R. Wickard, addressing an open meeting sponsored by the Association of Illinois Electric Co-operatives, outlined plans for post-war work which will make electricity available to every rural home in the United States. Mr. Wickard said the plan would provide over 600,000 men with a year's work.
