V.C. AIRMAN MISSING

LONDON, November 29. Wing Commander Guy Gibson, V.C., D.S.O. and bar, D.F.C." and bar, the famous English airman who led the Royal Air Force bombing attack on the Mohne and Eder dams in May, 1943, is officially reported missing. He has not returned from an attack which was made against Theydt, near Munchen Gladbach, north-western Germany, on the night of November 19.

Wing Commander Gibson won the Victoria Cross for the attack on the Mohne and Eder. dams.
