_Mrs. Hope Gibson, who is chairman of the >Y.W.C.A. programme committee, m commenting on the jitterbug competition staged in the Y.W.C.A. hall, said this was the first time jitterbug dancing had been permitted there, and. that the good attendance at the dance indicated that young people liked that type of dancing. . It was a happy function, and the aim of the association is to bring young people together and make them happy,' she said. "More than 8000 young men and women use the Y.W.C.A. each week for entertainment. It is the largest community centre in Sydney.
