COURSE OF POLAND
Rec. 10 a.m. LONDON, November 22. Stalin told the president of the Warsaw National Council that Poland must seek an alliance not only with Russia but with Britain, France, and America, says thg Lublin correspondent of the Associated Press. The president of the council disclosed that Stalin promised Russian assistance to restore Warsaw completely.
The Mayor of Praga, the liberated suburb of Warsaw, Colonel Spyhalski, who has returned from a visit to Moscow, stated that Stalin declared: "Poland should be a strong, independent, democratic country. She should have a strong army which, together with the Red Army, would stand guard for democracy, security, and peace. "Russia will always be ready to aid such a Poland. Poland and Russia must understand each other and liquidate for ever the menace of war between them."
