Between September 15 and October 15 over 10,000 French children crossed the border into Switzerland, where they are receiving hospitality in safe areas. Their ages varied from two months to 18 years, and the majority of them were placed with Swiss families, who will look after them during their stay. Twenty-three thousand five hundred Swiss families have offered to take in a little refugee.
