BOWLING GREEN APPEAL
The street day appeal yesterday for funds for the disabled servicemen's bowling green resulted in £1229 15s 2d being collected. The committee responsible for the appeal expresses appreciation of the efforts of the collectors and of the support given by the public. It is anticipated that the bowling green, which is in Lloyd Street, may be ready for play towards the end of the present season.
