LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
FOR YOUNG AND OLD
. Sir, —I wish to appeal through your paper to the people of Wellington to help us to complete the building of the children's camps and old age pensioners' rest centre which we, the Wellington City Mission, have undertaken at Otaki. We are appealing for £2500, which will enable us to open this much-needed department of our work by Christmas. It is here that we hope to accommodate all sorts of needy folk from the whole family to the old age pensioner, many of whom would not get away for that necessary break if it were not for our organisation.
We are'endeavouring to raise the money by public subscription, and also ! through the "Victory" Fair, which will take place in the Town Hall in November. I can sincerely recommend this as sa worthy cause, and I ask for financial support. May I suggest that if friends cannot send us the cash, perhaps they may spare a "Victory" bond or two. Please help us, and in doing so help the children and the aged. Our address is P.O. Box 31, Te Aro.—l am, etc., HARRY SQUIRES, \- " Caty Missioner.
