WAIOURU CAMP
SUGGESTED FARM TRAINING CENTRE
O.C. WANGANUI, October 5. Advice has been received by the Taihape Returned Services' Association that the Dominion executive of the N.Z.R.S.A.1 has appointed two members; Mr. B. J. Jacobs (Dominion president) and Mr. C. E. Holmes, to inspect the Waiouru military camp site with a view to reporting on the suggestion that a farm training centre be establieshed there. The establishment of such a centre was recommended by the Taihape R.S.A. some time ago. It was encouraging to know that headquarters was taking the matter up, said Mr. H: Johnston, president, of the Taihape branch. The suggestion! to establish a farm training centre at I Waiouru had been criticised a good deal, but he was of opinion that such criticism should be withheld until the critics had fuller information.
