'TRULY MAGNIFICENT'
WOMEN'S WAR LOAN EFFORT
In an interview this morning with a representative of "The Post," Mrs. Knox Gilmer, who was convener of the women's War Loan effort, expressed the deepest' admiration for the way the women of Wellington had worked during the War Loan period. "The result," she said, "is truly magnificent—£4o,ll7—and something of which- they have every, reason to be proud. As you know, during much of that' time the weather was very bad and women sat day after day in city booths not' minding the cold so long as the subscriptions were coming in They deserve the highest praise." ■ Mr?. Gilmer stated that the amounts collected were as follows:—W.R.E.N.
