Thousands of Chinese refugees mostly from the Kweilin area, passed through the base yesterday fleeing irom the Japanese invasion. It was the first major migration for nearly four years.
Men, women, and children, laden with bags of rice and household pos* sessions, jammed boxcars, scores of which were delayed in the railway yards awaiting engines. Cholera has appeared. Doctors are giving inoculations, but serum is in short supply.
