THRONE OF RUMANIA
EX- KING CAROL'S CHANCES Rec. noon, NEW YORK, Oct. 2. The chances of ex-King Carol of Rumania regaining his throne are being watched with interest by Balkan observers, says the "Chicago Sun's" Cairo correspondent. It is believed that Russia would not object to Carol's return chiefiy because the' Soviet's approval would prove that Russia does not desire to interfere in the internal regime of the Balkan countries.
From the Russian viewpoint, adds the correspondent, Carol would be a safer choice than Michael, whose mother, Queen Helen, is an ardent Fascist.
