MR. G. LETHAM

Mr. Gilbert Letham, who served for thirty-one years in the district office of the Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, died at Seatoun on Friday. Mr. Letham joined the department in February, 1903, and retired for health reasons in May, 1934. Despite being, crippled, Mr. Letham 'was a keen follower of football and cricket, and he was a familiar figure to supporters of both games. His cheerful disposition made him very popular with his fellow workers and with sports enthusiasts.
