APPEAL TO GERMAN FARMERS
LONDON, September 30. , r An appeal by the German Food Minister, Herr Backe,. for intensification in the efforts of German farmers was broadcast by the German radio. Herr Backe said: "There is no doubt that the German peasantry in the coming months will find it harder than ever to fulfil the tasks imposed upon tnem. Germany has now once again to rely exclusively on her own resources, and further enormous exertions will be expected.
BRITISH REVENUE INCREASE
