FREEING OF TERRITORY IN BELGIUM
The Belgian Consulate has received advice from the Belgian news agency in London that Belgian forces reformed after the liberation of BourgLeopold and moved to the right flank of the British front. They have just freed Belgian territory occupied in' '.he Bree sector west of Maeseyck, which town they entered triumphantly amid the cheers of the populace. Belgian troops are now on the south bank of the Vessem Canal, doing active patrols. The Germans are replying with artillery and mortars and attempting . a penetration of the' canal bank. Belgian tanks are active, carrying on reconnaissances supported by artillery, which also supports the infantry.
