POLICE TO PLAY ARMY

A Rugby football match in aid of patriotic funds will be played at Athletic Park tomorrow afternoon by teams representing the Army and the Police. Reserves: Revell, Shanahan, Brown Army.T-Morrison, Avis, O'Byrne, Tucker, Fitt, Doreen, Elliott, Whale Crowley, Newton, Lee, Croom, George' Marshment, Langham. Reserves: Boyce, W. Morrison, Humphries. . The curtain-raiser, to commence at 1.30 p.m., will be between Mangaro Junior champions and Trentham (Army Juniors). A MUD SCF-AMBLE •An evenly-contested Rugby contest, which became little more than a mud' scramble took I place at ralmerston North on Saturday between the junior representatives of Manawatu and Wellington.
