When leaving a city hotel on Saturday at 6 p.m. Alan Banks Cameron, storeman, 25, picked up a carton of beer from a stack in the bar and took it outside, where he placed it in a car, it was stated in the Magistrate's Court today. The sequel was his appearance on a charge of theft of the beer, to which he pleaded guilty. He was fined £2 by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. A request for suppression of his name was refused.
