NEW APPOINTMENT

Mr. C. E. Wynne, who has had a long association with the. Health Department, has been appointed registrar of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, and took over his new duties recently. Latterly he has been a private secretary to the Minister of Health and liaison officer between the Ministry and the Department. Mr. Wynne's association with the Health Department began in 1921, and at various times he has acted as secretary of several of the registration bodies linked with that Department. These bodies include the Medical Council, the Dental Council, and the Opticians' Registration Board. In recent years Mr. Wynne has been wholly engaged on work in connection with the inauguration and administration'of medical, pharmaceutical, and related benefits under the Social Security Act and has been associated with the central advisory pharmaceutical committee since its inception. Mr. Wynne is 40 years of age and is a qualified accountant by examination.
