PRINCIPAL RETIRING

P.A. DUNEDIN, August 21. At a special meeting of the Otago High Schools' Board this afternoon, the resignation of Miss M. H. M. King from the position of principal of the Girls' High School was received. It ■was-decided that a suitable minute expressing the board's appreciation of Miss King's services be prepared. It was also decided to call for applications to fill the vacancy. Miss King has occupied the position of principal of the Otago Girls' High School for the past 23 years. Her resignation will take effect as from January 31, 1945.
