HIGH POLISH HONOUR

A high Polish military decoration, the Order of Virtuti Militari, has been awarded to Flight Lieutenant Stanley George Culliford, of Norsewood, Hawke's Bay.' He is the second New Zealand airman to receive this decoration, the first being Wing Commander A. H. C. Boxer, D.F.C., R.A.F., of Nelson, who received it last year. While the first class is awarded to victorious generals, other classes are awarded for outstanding bravery in the field. General MacArthur has received this award in the first class. .
