"UNBRITISH METHODS"

"Will the Minister immediately issue instructions that Price Tribunal inspectors must not attempt to obtain information by un-British methods?" asked Mr. F. Findlay (National, Hamilton) in a notice of question to the Minister of Supply and Munitions in the House of Representatives yesterday. The stranger suggested that the shopkeeper might "stretch a point" and let him have the footwear without coupons. The shopkeeper refused and also rejected an offer of a substantially higher price. Then the stranger introduced himself as a Price Tribunal inspector. :
